Financial information

  • Cosmetic surgery
    • Cosmetic procedures are not covered by insurance.
    • When you schedule a cosmetic surgery procedure, we ask you to pay 10% of the surgical fee to hold a specific surgery date.
    • The remaining fees for must be paid one week prior to the surgery date. (This is usually done at the time of the second consult for preoperative planning.)
    • You will provide 3 separate payments
      • Dr. Kaplan’s professional fee
      • Plastic Surgery Center (the surgical facility)
      • Associated Anesthesia Medical Group
    • We accept cash, checks, American Express, VISA, and MasterCard. Jolie Sheldon, our office manager, will be happy to discuss payment arrangements that will suit your needs.
    • We can help you arrange for a payment plan through Credit Care or the Stanford Credit Union
  • Reconstructive Surgery
    • Some surgeries may be partially paid by your insurance
      • Rhinoplasty (if there is a problem with breathing)
      • Eyelid surgery (If your vision is compromised
      • Birth defects
      • Trauma
      • Skin Cancers
      • Breast reconstruction
      • Breast reduction
    • We will assist you in obtaining pre-surgical authorization
      • Authorization does not guarantee that insurance will pay for your surgery. It only indicates that you are eligible and they may pay all, part or none of the costs.
      • Therefore, you will pay the standard fees before surgery as if it was a cosmetic procedure and then be reimbursed afterwards when collection is obtained from insurance.
  • Office procedures
    • Office procedures are paid on the day of service
      • Laser
      • IPL
      • Botox
      • Fillers (Restylane, Juvederm, Evolence, Hydrelle etc.)
      • Minor liposuction
      • Scar revisions
    • We offer special discounts on many of the office procedures. Ask about our discounts and special offers.

Note: Doctor Kaplan is not a member of any Insurance provider groups. However, we will work on your behalf to obtain authorization for payment to Dr. Kaplan, the surgery facility and anesthesiologists as outside providers. Please bring your insurance forms with you and have your portion filled out and signed to expedite the filing of your claim. You will have a co-payment as determined by your specific medical insurance plan. This will be billed to you after we receive the insurance payment.
